As a part of Water Linked's Summer Internship, you'll have the chance to join a dynamic and collaborative team working on cutting-edge underwater technology. If you’re an enthusiastic and motivated student with a passion for problem-solving and a love for teamwork, you might be just the person we’re looking for! We’re seeking students enrolled in Bachelor’s or Master’s programs in Cybernetics, Electronics, Marine Technology or related fields. You should ideally be in your third or fourth year of study with a strong academic track record and a desire to build your future in engineering.

Over the past two summers, our interns have had the chance to work on exciting, hands-on projects that showcase both creativity and technical skills. In 2024, they built an autonomous underwater drone from scratch, collaborating closely with our engineering team to bring the project to life. In 2025, interns put our Sonar 3D-15 through its paces across various ROV platforms, taking part in a two-part project that combined field testing, technical documentation, and a strong dose of creative and technical problem solving. These projects give interns a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience and contribute meaningfully to our innovative work. The summer project for 2026 isn’t finalized yet, so if you have ideas or wishes, feel free to pitch them in your application!

For anyone considering an internship, I’d say apply to Water Linked without hesitation. You’ll be working with incredibly smart people in a young, energetic environment that’s both challenging and fun.
Here, we were given a lot of freedom to shape and develop the projects in the direction we wanted. If that kind of freedom is something you find motivating, then I would absolutely recommend it.
