Water Linked attended NADIC’s two-day LINC programme in Washington, D.C., on 8 - 9 October, ahead of AUSA 2026. The event gathered Norwegian and US government representatives, defence industry professionals and technology companies to discuss operational needs and opportunities for collaboration.
Day 1 focused on engagement with Norwegian government and military representatives, alongside sessions with service providers and the Norwegian Defence Research Establishment (FFI). Day 2 turned to US defence programmes and industry perspectives, with dedicated meetings connecting businesses and government stakeholders.
“Over the two days, we spoke with industry professionals and officials from the Norwegian and US governments. Both industry primes and government agencies stressed the need to put new technologies into use faster,” said Scott McLay, CCO of Water Linked, who attended the event.
Hearing directly about operational challenges helps us understand what vehicle developers and integrators need from our navigation, sonar and communication technologies as they build more autonomous underwater systems.
